House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-Missouri), a likely candidate for President in 2004, is reportedly working to speed up House consideration of a resolution authorizing military action against Iraq. This comes at the same time other Representatives are urging the Congress to slow down.
Because of Gephardt's political ambitions, he may be particularly responsive to messages for New Hampshire voters, who will cast the first votes in the 2004 Primaries. Some of us even remember that Gephardt ran as a peace candidate in 1988.
Please call, fax, or e-mail to him NOW to tell him there is "no rush to war." Be sure to state that you are a New Hampshire voter.

A fax or phone call will have somewhat more impact than an e-mail.
