Upper Valley Peace & Justice
Oct 26 Monpelier Rally
In the worst snow storm of the season, 1,100 showed up with signs, placards and the spirit of Love and Peace.
Pictures courtesy of Robert Belenky. Here's what he wrote:
A remarkable peace rally took place this morning in Montpelier, Vermont, a small city of under 10,000 people in a region of perhaps 30,000. Not a whole lot to draw on. But we had a huge attendance, some counted well over a thousand people. The weather was dreadful, sleet and rain. But the clear sense and determination of the crowd was impressive.
As the White House resident says, "America Speaks With One Voice." He neglects to add the message of the voice which is, Peace!
In Brattleboro, the Putney Friends held a silent vigil on Oct. 26. Fifty people stood for an hour in the pouring rain and 40 degree temperatures. This was in addition to the Peace & Justice group filling two buses to D.C. with 103 people.

Much gratitude to those all over the world who live the energy of peace
and love everyday, who make decisions/choices based on what is for
the greater good of all. And, special gratitude to those who came before
us, those ancestors and ancient ones who often gave the ultimate sacrifice,
their life, for the chance of ALL to live a life of TRUE freedom.
Lastly, in the immortal words of John Lennon: "All we are saying, is give peace a chance."
